192-ROOM MODULAR CAMP AND WATER/ WASTEWATER TREATMENT FOR MAJOR RENEWABLE ENERGY PROJECT

Centurion is supporting one of NSW’s major renewable energy projects by delivering both the workforce accommodation and water and wastewater treatment systems. The purpose-built, 192-room modular camp has been designed in-house to suit the site’s cool climate and meet compliance requirements, while offering safe and comfortable accommodation with quality amenities.

Centurion is playing a key role in one of Australia’s major renewable energy projects, a hydroelectric development currently underway in New South Wales.

As part of the project, new transmission lines are being installed to deliver clean energy into the grid. This critical infrastructure will help improve power reliability and support the state’s transition to a more sustainable energy future.

Client Requirements

To support the construction workforce on the ground, our client required:

  • A purpose-built, 192-room modular camp
  • Comfortable workforce accommodation with high safety and amenity standards
  • Water and wastewater treatment systems that are reliable, compliant, and easy to operate
  • Full compliance with the Building Code of Australia and suitable for cooler climate zones.

What Centurion is Delivering

Centurion is delivering a purpose-built, 192-room workforce camp, designed and delivered in-house to meet the project's scale and technical needs. The scope includes:

  • Comfortable ensuite bedrooms
  • Commercial kitchen and dining facilities
  • Fully equipped gym
  • Recreation room and wet mess with BBQ area
  • Dedicated faith room, first aid room, office space, on-site shop and tavern
  • Satellite TV
  • Water and wastewater treatment plants.

Why this Project Stands Out

Centurion has the in-house capability and global resources to custom design and supply workforce camps to suit specific project requirements. This camp was developed by Centurion Accommodation & Modular to meet the Building Code of Australia and to be suitable for the site’s cool climate.

This project also brings together two of Centurion’s core business lines, Centurion Accommodation & Modular and Centurion Water & Wastewater Solutions, to deliver workforce accommodation and water and wastewater infrastructure. By combining both services, the client benefits from reduced complexity, faster delivery, and the confidence that comes from working with one experienced and reliable team.

Project Status (as of June 2025)

Mobilisation and installation of the camp accommodation is now underway. Over 120 truckloads have been delivered to site, and our teams are actively installing and commissioning the accommodation units.

By supporting this major energy transition project, Centurion is helping to increase access to clean, renewable hydroelectric power across New South Wales. The infrastructure being built will enhance electricity reliability and support the state’s move toward a more sustainable energy future.
