Water Treatment Systems
Centurion designs, builds, installs, operates and services water treatment systems for mines, councils, utilities, industrial facilities and remote sites across Australia and APAC. We treat bore water, surface water, seawater, brackish water and process water, producing water that's safe, reliable and fit for purpose.
Some clients come to us with a detailed brief. Others just know their current water is causing problems. Either way, we can help work out the right approach and support the whole system from design through to long-term operation.

Not Sure What System You Need? Start Here.
The right treatment technology depends on your water source and what you need the water for. This table covers most situations:
| Your situation | What needs to be managed | Likely treatment approach |
|---|---|---|
| Drinking water for a camp, community or facility | Turbidity, pathogens, dissolved salts, metals | Filtration Reverse Osmosis, chemical dosing Disinfection |
| Water for site operations or production | Scaling, fouling, suspended solids, salinity | Filtration Nanofiltration Reverse Osmosis Conditioning |
| Dirty, cloudy or high-solids raw water | Sediment, turbidity, suspended solids | Screening Clarification Media filtration Cartridge filtration |
| Water with oils, grease or workshop contaminants | Oils, fine solids, high-organic load | Dissolved Air Flotation Oily water separation Polishing filtration |
| Salty or brackish water | High TDS, bore water salinity or seawater | Brackish water Reverse Osmosis Seawater Reverse Osmosis Desalination |
| Water for reuse | Fine solids, bacteria, viruses | Ultrafiltration Membrane treatment Disinfection |
Key Technical Indicators
When you share your water quality data, here's what shapes the treatment design:
- TSS (Total Suspended Solids): guides filtration selection - from cartridge filtration at 5–10 mg/L through to clarification where TSS exceeds 150 mg/L.
- TDS (Total Dissolved Solids): determines whether Reverse Osmosis (RO) is needed. Brackish water RO typically suits 600–10,000 mg/L; seawater RO covers 10,000–45,000 mg/L.
- Iron and manganese: levels above 0.3 mg/L usually require targeted filtration to prevent staining, fouling and equipment build-up.
- Microbial risk: bacteria, viruses or reuse requirements will generally need ultrafiltration, disinfection or both.

Our Water Treatment Technologies
One Team for the Full Treatment Plant Lifecycle
This is where Centurion is different. We manage the full plant lifecycle:
- Water testing and treatment process selection
- System design, engineering, build and installation
- Commissioning and operator training
- Technicians to operate the plant
- Scheduled servicing, 24/7 support and emergency response
- Spare parts, filters, membranes, chemicals and consumables
- Upgrades and integration with existing treatment assets
Systems are available to purchase, rent, or rent-to-own. Operated and maintained systems are also available where your team needs ongoing support.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: We already have a water treatment plant - can Centurion help improve it?
A: Yes. We assess existing assets and can recommend upgrades, replacement components or integration with new treatment stages to improve performance, capacity or reliability. We also service third-party equipment.
Q: How quickly can a system be deployed to a remote site?
A: Modular and containerised systems are designed for faster mobilisation than site-built plants. Timeline depends on system size and site access - get in touch and we can give you a realistic picture.
Q: What if our water quality changes seasonally or our demand grows?
A: Our modular design means capacity can be staged and scaled. If your raw water quality is variable, we factor that into the design from the start rather than building for a single fixed scenario.
