About the role
We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Project Engineer to join our Water & Wastewater Solutions team. In this role, you will provide engineering and technical support across all project phases, delivering projects that meet design, budget, schedule, operational, and engineering standards. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager and project teams to ensure high-quality outcomes, from technical design and equipment selection through to commissioning and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in and facilitate engineering deliverables for project approval and execution.
- Analyse drawings and designs to create equipment and material schedules, providing technical recommendations.
- Prepare cost estimations, proposals, and technical submissions (DOH).
- Develop technical equipment schedules, purchase requisitions, and support procurement.
- Liaise with subcontract designers, suppliers, and service technicians on technical requirements.
- Prepare operation and maintenance manuals, commissioning plans, and support FAT and on-site commissioning.
- Lead technical components of failure mode analysis and quality investigations.
- Support troubleshooting and provide engineering assistance to other departments.
- Actively participate in HSEQ processes, incident investigations, and company inspections.
- Perform duties in accordance with Centurion’s quality system and departmental requirements.
What we are looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–4 years of relevant professional experience; knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes is preferable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Strong technical knowledge, with high attention to detail and a proactive, results-focused approach (“Best for Business”).
- Effective client liaison and communication skills, with good time management and reliability.
