About the role
This is an expression of interest role for an experience Service Technician with a proactive, hands-on attitude to join our team. You will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of water and wastewater treatment systems — including but not limited to filtration, reverse osmosis (RO), chlorination, UV disinfection, SAF, SBR, and MBR technologies. The role is remote based, including travel to client sites for reactive and preventative maintenance with some workshop-based requirements. Flexibility to work across both workshop and remote locations is essential.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess the performance of water and wastewater treatment plants
- Service, repair, and maintain equipment, including pumps, piping, instrumentation (including calibration), membranes (CIP), electrical components, and other process-related systems
- Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the highest safety standards
- Identify and source required parts and materials for maintenance and repairs
- Complete tasks in an efficient, timely, and cost-effective manner
- Liaise with suppliers for technical support or parts sourcing as required
- Provide refresher training to client operators when necessary
- Prepare and submit detailed internal and external service reports
- Identify opportunities for additional service offerings or income generation
- Attend to client call-outs, provide on-site assessments and action plans, and follow up as required
- Respond to other reasonable requests or tasks within the scope of the Service Department
What we are looking for?
- Previous experience in servicing and maintaining reverse osmosis and wastewater treatment plants is essential.
- Strong knowledge of chemical dosing systems, including servicing and calibrating chlorine dosing equipment.
- Cert III in Water Operations is highly regarded
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings (P&ID, Schematics, General Arrangements)
