Chemical Dosing Applications
Chemical dosing is usually needed when water quality needs to be adjusted, stabilised or disinfected before treatment, discharge or reuse.
Site Issue | Typical Dosing Approach
| pH too high or too low | Acid or alkali dosing with pH sensors and control | |
| Fine solids hard to remove | Coagulant or flocculant dosing | |
Chlorine needs to be added | Chlorine or sodium hypochlorite dosing
| Bulk chlorine handling is a concern | Centurion Hyprolyser® electrochlorination | |
| Residual chlorine needs to be removed | De-chlorination using sodium bisulphite or similar | |
| Fluoride needs to be controlled | Fluoridation dosing | |
| Scaling is affecting plant performance | Antiscalant or pH correction dosin | |
| Membranes are fouling or scaling | Antiscalant dosing and pre-treatment control |
Chemical Dosing Systems that we Supply
pH Control Systems
Automated dosing with sensors for accurate, continuous pH adjustment - protecting assets and supporting compliance.
Chlorine Dosing Systems
Controlled dosing for potable water, process water, treated wastewater and recycled water disinfection.
Hyprolyser® Electrochlorination
Centurion's on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system. Generates low-strength sodium hypochlorite from salt, water and electricity - reducing bulk chemical deliveries and handling risks. Can be up to 44% cheaper than delivered sodium hypochlorite and 17% cheaper than chlorine gas.
De-Chlorination Systems
Controlled removal of residual chlorine before discharge, reuse or downstream treatment.
Fluoridation Systems
Precise dosing systems for safe, compliant fluoride control in water supply applications.
Coagulation and Flocculation Systems
Accurate coagulant and flocculant delivery to support suspended solids removal.
Antiscalant and Calgon Dosing
Scale prevention to protect pipework, membranes and treatment equipment.

What a Chemical Dosing System Includes
Every site is different, so CHEMDOS systems are configured to match. Depending on your process, a system may include dosing pumps, chemical storage tanks, bunding and injection points, pH/ORP/chlorine/turbidity analysers, flow switches, inline filters, alarms and safety controls, and skid or containerised housing with remote monitoring integration.
Centurion uses standard in-house design templates to keep lead times and costs competitive, with customisation for your specific chemical, flow rate and site requirements.
Skid, Containerised or Fully Integrated
Standalone dosing skids work well for existing plants or specific dosing points - pH correction, antiscalant, chlorine control. Containerised systems suit remote or harsh-environment sites where protected equipment and fast setup matter. Integrated plant dosing means dosing equipment, controls and treatment process are designed together from the start - reducing interfaces and simplifying commissioning.
From Design to Operation - One Team
Most suppliers stop at the equipment. Centurion doesn't. We design, build, install, commission, service and operate complete water and wastewater treatment systems - which means the team that sizes your dosing system understands how it fits into the rest of the plant. That reduces handover risk, simplifies troubleshooting and means you're not managing a different contractor for every stage.
Our systems are built and supported for remote, industrial and municipal environments - from small mine site camps through to communities of more than 16,000 people. And after installation, we provide chemicals, consumables, spare parts, calibration, servicing and 24/7 technical support across Australia and APAC.
Questions & Answers (QA)
Q: Do we need to know exactly what chemical we need before talking to you?
A: No. If you know the problem - scaling, pH drift, poor disinfection - Centurion can help work through the right dosing approach from there.
Q: Can dosing be retrofitted to an existing plant?
A: Yes, in most cases. Standalone skids and containerised units are commonly used to add or upgrade dosing on existing water and wastewater systems without a full plant replacement.
Q: What's the difference between Hyprolyser® and a standard chlorine dosing system?
A: A standard chlorine dosing system doses a chemical you've had delivered and stored on site. Hyprolyser® generates that chemical - sodium hypochlorite - on site from salt, water and electricity, which removes the need for bulk deliveries and can significantly reduce operating costs.
Q: How do you size a dosing system?
A: Key inputs are water or wastewater analysis, average and peak flow rate, treatment target, and site conditions including power, access and safety requirements. The more of this you have, the faster we can scope the right system.
Q: What ongoing support is available?
A: Centurion can supply dosing chemicals, consumables, spare parts, calibration and servicing. Our service team provides 24/7 support for Centurion systems and selected third-party systems across APAC.
