Centurion Subsea Services Welcomes New Mechanical Engineer in APAC

Centurion Subsea Services has welcomed Mechanical Engineer Suganesh R to its Singapore team as part of its growing subsea capability across the Asia Pacific region. Suganesh brings experience in oil and gas and offshore wind projects and has already been appointed to the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) Perth Branch General Committee for 2026.

The subsea industry across the Asia Pacific region is evolving rapidly, with major developments in offshore energy, decommissioning and subsea construction driving demand for specialist capability and technical expertise. At Centurion Subsea Services, we are growing alongside the industry, expanding our team and fleet to support clients across the full project lifecycle.

We are pleased to welcome Suganesh R to the team, a Mechanical Engineer from Singapore who brings valuable experience across oil and gas and offshore wind projects. Since joining Centurion, Suganesh has been supporting a range of subsea projects, applying his engineering expertise to deliver safe, reliable and fit-for-purpose solutions for our customers across APAC.

Industry involvement from day one

Despite being with the business a short time, Suganesh has already made a strong contribution. He has been appointed to the Society for Underwater Technology (SUT) Perth Branch General Committee for 2026, continuing Centurion’s active involvement in industry collaboration and technical leadership. He takes over the role from Centurion’s Brett Phillips, who previously served as Chair of the committee.

Why Centurion?

When asked what attracted him to Centurion Subsea Services, Suganesh shared:

“It was the exciting projects and the chance to grow my expertise in subsea that drew be in."

Based in Perth, Suganesh plays a key role in supporting clients within the region. Outside of work, he’s a car enthusiast and a dedicated Manchester United fan, one of the reasons why he moved to the UK for his masters degree.
