Delivering Water Solutions and Celebrating 50 Years of Independence in Papua New Guinea

While delivering a modular wastewater treatment plant for an LNG expansion project in Papua New Guinea, Centurion’s team joined local colleagues in celebrating the nation’s 50 years of Independence.

Centurion Water & Wastewater Solutions (CWWS) is currently supporting an LNG expansion project in Papua New Guinea’s Central Province with the installation of a new modular Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) wastewater treatment plant.

Designed for durability and efficiency, the plant will scale from 500 to 750 equivalent persons (EP) to meet the project’s growing needs. It integrates seamlessly with existing infrastructure and is built to operate reliably in the region’s challenging tropical conditions, a hallmark of Centurion’s approach to delivering safe, compliant, and long-term wastewater treatment systems across Australia and the Asia Pacific.

While on site, our team had the privilege of joining in Papua New Guinea’s 50th Independence celebrations, a proud day for the nation. Our client organised a day of festivities at camp, with work finishing early so everyone could take part. The day featured market stalls, traditional song and dance, local food, and decorations representing PNG’s many provinces.

It was also a chance for our team to celebrate alongside our PNG colleagues, who have been working tirelessly with us throughout the project.

For Centurion, success is not only about delivering high-performing, compliant infrastructure but also about being part of the communities we work in.
