PHASE 2 UNDERWAY IN MAJOR APAC OFFSHORE DECOMMISSIONING CAMPAIGN

Centurion is returning to the Gulf of Thailand for Phase 2 of one of APAC’s largest offshore decommissioning campaigns. Following the successful removal of 64 pipelines in Phase 1, this next stage runs from July to October 2025 and involves removing 12 more. We’re supplying all cutting, retrieval and handling equipment, along with experienced personnel.

Centurion is preparing to return to the Gulf of Thailand to support Phase 2 of one of the largest offshore decommissioning campaigns in the Asia-Pacific region.

Following the successful completion of Phase 1, where 64 subsea pipelines totalling 250km were removed using reverse pipelay techniques and customised cutting solutions, we’ve again been engaged by a leading subsea services provider for this next stage.

Phase 2 will run from July to October 2025 and involves the removal of 12 pipelines, ranging in length from 140 metres to 13.7 kilometres and diameters between 6” and 12”. The work will be carried out on two vessels, the DSV Van Gogh and DLV HQ1200.

Centurion is supplying a full package of cutting, retrieval and handling equipment, backed by a team of experienced offshore personnel. Being the sole supplier means less complexity for the client, faster mobilisation and reduced downtime.

With hubs across the APAC region, Centurion is built for speed and scale. Our large equipment fleet and in-house expertise allow us to adapt quickly to changing conditions, engineering and modifying equipment in real time to keep operations moving and minimise downtime.
