  The decommissioning of subsea infrastructure is an evolving challenge for the oil and gas industry. In the Gulf of Thailand, Centurion Group and Centurion APAC (Centurion) are playing a key role in supporting the removal of 250km of pipeline - much of it encased in concrete weight coating (CWC) - using reverse pipelay techniques. Starting in March 2024, we have been providing essential cutting solutions, including shears, chopsaws, and pipe recovery tools, enabling efficient, cost effective and safe pipeline recovery operations.

  With an unprecedented scale of decommissioning activities underway around the world, this project offers valuable insights for vessel operators and contractors.

• Turning Seawater into Safe Drinking Water – 10km from the coast!

  Centurion has delivered a robust Seawater Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) system at Mungalalu North Kimberley Airport, supplying 100kL of safe drinking water daily in remote north-west Western Australia. The system pumps seawater 10km inland and operates remotely, supporting both potable supply and critical runway upgrade works.

• Supporting Fugro with Spooling, Load Testing and Fast Turnarounds

  Centurion supported Fugro with critical equipment replacement and testing during a tight port call at AMC Henderson. Using specialised hydraulic spooling winches, fluid power systems and a team of NATA-accredited inspection personnel, we completed the works safely, on time, and without disrupting other contractors working on the vessel – helping Fugro stay on schedule and showcasing our local expertise and reliability.
